Sould Have Hotel Mnagement Degree EMAIL : [redacted email address] Position : General Manager 4 STAR HOTEL , Muscat Role Objective: The company seeks a positive, service-oriented, energetic and self-motivated General Manager to join a unique luxury boutique hotel in the hearth of South Kensington. Responsible for the day-­-to-­-day management of the hotel and team members with direct responsibility over all aspects of the hotel operations including guest satisfaction, revenue management, employee staffing & development, sales & marketing, front desk, housekeeping, maintenance and other administration needs. While taking a strategic overview and planning ahead to maximize profits, the General Manager must also pay attention to details, setting the example for the team members to deliver unparallel service standards and experiences exceeding guests' expectations. 2. Detailed Roles and Responsibilities: •Functioning as the primary strategic leader of the hotel with responsibility for all aspects of the operation, including guest and associate satisfaction, financial performance and sales and revenue generation •Analyzing business results and working with the leadership team to develop effective strategies to address needs. Making key decisions and overseeing execution, and ensuring appropriate resources are available to achieve business results. •Ensuring service standards are met with the objective of exceeding guest expectations, communicating follow-up actions to the team as necessary •Driving the sales culture in the hotel through active involvement in the sales process, including encouraging the leadership team to develop effective revenue management strategies and setting aggressive goals which will drive the property’s financial performance. •Preparing an annual budget and business plan in collaboration with appropriate department heads to ensure the smooth operations of the hotel, set financial goals and plan expenses •Monitoring actual sales and revenues to determine variance and assess goal accomplishments •Recruiting, training and monitoring staff. Creating an environment in which all associates have the ability to reach their full potential •Ensuring compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations (incl. Hygiene and FLS responsibility). The candidate must be fluent in English and ideally have had an international exposure. This position is suitable for an individual who is a visible involved leader with the public and community. 1. Experience: -­- 5 Years of experience in comparable 4 STAR hotels in Muscat -­- Knowledge of hospitality reporting systems (Micros Fidelio, Opera) and MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint…) 2. Behavioral Skills: -­- Sales oriented, -­- Financial management skills, -­- Multitasking, -­- Organization skills, -­- Knowledge of performance management & yield management, -­- Capable of developing strategies and business plans to deliver strong hotel results, -­- Approachable, creative and an ongoing personality, -­- Dynamic with the ability to deal with International clientele, -­- Positive, pragmatic, innovative, organized and motivating team leader, -­- Very hands-­-on with strong leadership skills, -­- Training and professional development skills.
