Restaurant Delivery Driver – Key Responsibilities

1. Order Delivery
• Ensure timely and accurate delivery of food orders to customers.
• Confirm order correctness before departure (items, packaging, special instructions).
• Use GPS/navigation apps to follow the most efficient routes.

2. Customer Service
• Greet customers courteously upon delivery.
• Handle customer queries or minor complaints politely and professionally.
• Collect cash payments (if applicable) and provide receipts.

3. Food Safety & Handling
• Maintain food temperature (hot or cold) during transit using insulated bags.
• Ensure orders are delivered in hygienic and presentable condition.
• Follow hygiene protocols and personal cleanliness.

4. Vehicle Maintenance & Safety
• Ensure the delivery vehicle (bike, scooter, or car) is in good working condition.
• Maintain valid driving license and insurance.
• Follow all traffic rules and safety guidelines.

5. Documentation & Reporting
• Maintain a daily delivery log sheet or app record (time, customer name, payment status).
• Report delivery issues (delays, customer unavailable, address problems) to the manager.
• Submit daily cash/receipts to the cashier or supervisor.

6. Coordination & Communication
• Coordinate with the kitchen staff and front counter for accurate and fast order pickups.
• Update the team if delivery delays or issues arise.
• Use mobile phone or app to stay reachable during shifts.

7. Adherence to Company Policy
• Follow company uniform, grooming, and conduct standards.
• Respect customer privacy and delivery protocols.
• Never open or tamper with delivered food.
