Key Responsibilities of a Supervisor (Steel & Aluminium Workshop):
Workshop Supervision:

Oversee daily operations of the workshop

Monitor work progress and ensure timely completion

Coordinate workflow to meet production schedules

Team Management:

Assign tasks to workers based on skill and availability

Ensure employee attendance and discipline

Provide guidance, motivation, and training to staff

Production & Quality Control:

Ensure fabrication follows technical drawings/specifications

Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy

Identify and resolve defects or errors in production

Safety & Compliance:

Enforce safety policies and procedures in the workshop

Ensure the use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)

Take preventive measures to avoid accidents

Equipment Maintenance:

Schedule regular maintenance of tools and machines

Report and follow up on repair or replacement needs

Ensure machinery operates efficiently and safely

Inventory & Material Management:

Monitor the availability of materials and tools

Coordinate with procurement for supply needs

Minimize material wastage and track usage

Project & Client Coordination:

Ensure work aligns with project timelines and requirements

Liaise with engineers or clients as necessary

Address on-site issues or design modifications

Reporting & Documentation:

Prepare daily or weekly progress reports

Maintain records of worker performance and productivity

Document material usage and equipment maintenance
