Job Title: Accountant – Fast Food Restaurant
Location: Muscat, Sultanate of Oman

Job Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage the financial operations of our fast food restaurant in Muscat. The ideal candidate will be responsible for day-to-day accounting activities, cost control, cash handling, and compliance with local regulations, ensuring accurate financial records and efficient financial management.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain daily accounting entries, including sales, purchases, expenses, and petty cash
Monitor daily cash sales, POS reports, and bank reconciliations
Prepare monthly financial statements, profit & loss reports, and management reports
Control food cost, inventory cost, and wastage in coordination with operations team
Manage supplier invoices, payments, and account reconciliations
Handle payroll preparation and staff-related financial records
Ensure compliance with Oman VAT regulations and assist in VAT filing
Coordinate with auditors and provide required financial documents
Maintain proper documentation and filing as per company and legal requirements
Support management with budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis
Requirements & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Minimum 2–4 years of accounting experience, preferably in fast food / restaurant / F&B industry
Strong knowledge of Oman VAT laws and local accounting practices
Experience handling POS systems and restaurant accounting software
Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (Tally, QuickBooks, or similar)
Good understanding of inventory control and food cost analysis
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Preferred Skills:
Experience in multi-branch restaurant accounting
Knowledge of stock audits and recipe costing
Good communication and coordination skills
Locally available candidates in Oman preferred
