Position: Head Chef

Preparation Period: 3 Months
Location: Qurayyat, Oman
Workplace: Resort / Hotel

Key Responsibilities

Lead and supervise the entire kitchen team.

Plan and prepare high-quality menus suitable for a resort environment.

Ensure consistency in food quality, taste, presentation, and portion control.

Manage daily kitchen operations and staff schedules.

Maintain high standards of food hygiene, sanitation, and HACCP practices.

Control food costs, wastage, portion sizes, and kitchen inventory.

Monitor food purchasing and coordinate with the management and stores team.

Train, guide, and evaluate kitchen staff.

Ensure all kitchen equipment and work areas are properly maintained and clean.

Develop new dishes and improve the resort's food offerings.

Work closely with management to ensure guest satisfaction.

3-Month Preparation Period

The selected candidate will initially undergo a 3-month Preparation Period.

During this period, the candidate's:

Professional performance

Leadership and team management

Food quality and presentation

Kitchen organization

Hygiene and safety standards

Cost control and wastage management

Ability to work under pressure

Overall suitability for the resort

will be evaluated by the management.

Continuation of employment after the Preparation Period will be subject to satisfactory performance and management approval.

Candidate Requirements

Proven experience as a Head Chef, Executive Chef, Sous Chef, or similar senior kitchen position.

Strong knowledge of international and resort-style cuisine.

Excellent leadership and communication skills.

Good knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.

Ability to manage kitchen operations independently.

Strong knowledge of food costing and inventory control.

Ability to train and manage a multicultural kitchen team.

Professional attitude, discipline, creativity, and attention to detail.

Hotel or resort experience is highly preferred.
