Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced Heavy Equipment Electrician / Auto Electrician to join our workshop and service team in Oman. The candidate will be responsible for electrical diagnosis, troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of heavy construction equipment, trucks and commercial vehicles.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with electrical systems of excavators, wheel loaders, bulldozers, backhoe loaders, tippers, trucks and other heavy equipment.

Key Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair electrical faults in heavy equipment, trucks and commercial vehicles.
Troubleshoot starting, charging, lighting, wiring and electrical control systems.
Repair and replace alternators, starters, batteries, sensors, relays, fuses and wiring harnesses.
Perform electrical inspection and preventive maintenance of equipment.
Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify electrical and electronic faults.
Troubleshoot ECU, sensors, controllers and CAN-bus related electrical issues where applicable.
Inspect and repair wiring, connectors and electrical components.
Carry out electrical repairs at customer sites and equipment locations when required.
Maintain proper service records and report identified faults and repairs.
Coordinate with mechanics and workshop supervisors for equipment repairs.
Ensure all work is completed safely and according to company procedures.
Maintain workshop tools, equipment and electrical testing instruments.
Attend emergency breakdown and service calls when required.

Required Qualifications & Experience:
3–5 years of experience as an Auto Electrician / Heavy Equipment Electrician.
Experience in heavy equipment, trucks or construction machinery is preferred.
Good knowledge of automotive and heavy equipment electrical systems.
Ability to read and understand electrical wiring diagrams.
Experience with electrical diagnostic tools is an advantage.
Ability to troubleshoot faults independently and provide effective solutions.
Technical/vocational qualification in Automotive Electrical, Electrical Engineering or a related field is preferred.
Oman/GCC experience will be an advantage.
Valid Oman driving licence will be highly preferred.

Skills & Competencies:
Strong electrical troubleshooting skills.
Good technical knowledge of heavy equipment electrical systems.
Ability to work independently and as part of a workshop team.
Good problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
Ability to work under pressure and respond to breakdowns.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Safety-conscious and disciplined.
Willingness to travel to customer sites when required.

Candidate Preference

Candidates who have Oman/GCC experience, a valid Oman driving licence, and hands-on experience with heavy equipment electrical systems will be given strong preference.
