🎯 JOB PURPOSE
We are looking for a highly experienced and technically competent Senior MEP Site Engineer to supervise, coordinate, and manage the successful execution of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) works across interior fit-out and construction projects.
The ideal candidate should have 10+ years of strong hands-on site experience with proven expertise in MEP installation, site supervision, coordination, quality control, testing & commissioning, technical documentation, and subcontractor management.
The candidate must be capable of independently managing MEP site activities, resolving technical issues, coordinating multiple trades, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and in accordance with approved drawings and specifications.
🔧 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review, interpret and implement approved MEP shop drawings, specifications, BOQs and technical documents before and during execution.
- Supervise and manage daily MEP site activities covering HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Firefighting and Fire Alarm systems.
- Ensure MEP works are executed according to approved drawings, project specifications, quality standards and approved methods.
- Coordinate closely with Civil, Interior, Joinery, Architectural and other site teams to identify and resolve MEP clashes before execution.
- Lead and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, technicians and site manpower to ensure smooth and timely execution.
- Conduct regular site inspections and quality-control checks and ensure corrective actions are completed.
- Monitor manpower, materials, tools and equipment to maintain productivity and project progress.
- Prepare and review daily/weekly progress reports, inspection requests, snag lists, material requisitions and technical reports.
- Coordinate with consultants, clients and project management teams regarding MEP technical matters.
- Manage and coordinate testing, commissioning and handover of MEP systems.
- Coordinate with the Design and QS teams regarding RFIs, variations, technical queries and site requirements.
- Review and maintain as-built drawings, test certificates, inspection records, O&M documentation and handover documents.
- Attend site coordination and technical meetings and provide appropriate engineering input and solutions.
- Monitor project schedules and proactively identify potential delays, technical problems and resource constraints.
- Ensure all MEP activities comply with applicable HSE requirements, safety procedures, project standards and local regulations.
- Inspect delivered MEP materials and ensure they comply with approved specifications and material submittals.
- Coordinate inspections and approvals with consultants and relevant authorities where required.
- Provide technical guidance to supervisors, technicians and subcontractors and ensure proper execution of works.
- Identify site issues at an early stage and implement practical engineering solutions to avoid delays and rework.
🎓 QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, MEP or Building Services Engineering.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant MEP Site Engineering experience.
- Strong experience in Interior Fit-Out, Construction, Contracting or similar projects is highly preferred.
- Proven experience in supervising and coordinating complete MEP works from installation through testing, commissioning and handover.
- Strong technical knowledge of:

- Excellent ability to read, interpret and implement MEP drawings, shop drawings, specifications and BOQs.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project and MS Office.
- Good understanding of project planning, site coordination, quality control and technical documentation.
- Familiarity with Oman/local codes, standards and authority approval procedures.
- Strong leadership and team-management abilities.
- Excellent communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to independently manage site MEP activities and coordinate with consultants, clients, subcontractors and other trades.
- Valid Oman Driving License is mandatory.
