Position Summary

The Planning Engineer is responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive construction project plans. They work closely with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.  

Responsibilities

Develop project schedules, including activity lists, duration estimates, and resource requirements.
Create and maintain project plans, including Gantt charts and network diagrams.
Monitor project progress and identify potential risks and issues.
Develop contingency plans to address potential challenges.
Track project costs and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
Prepare progress reports for project stakeholders.
Assist in the development of project budgets.
Analyze project data to identify trends and improve efficiency.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Strong understanding of project planning and scheduling methodologies (e.g., CPM, PERT).
Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.  
Experience in the construction industry preferred.
