VACANCY: QA/QC MANAGER

We are seeking an experienced and highly competent QA/QC Manager to join our construction team in Oman. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and managing the project Quality Management System and ensuring all construction activities comply with approved specifications, drawings, standards, and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

* Develop, implement, and maintain the Project Quality Management Plan.
* Manage and supervise QA/QC Engineers, Inspectors, and laboratory activities.
* Ensure construction works comply with approved drawings, specifications, ITPs, method statements, and applicable standards.
* Review and approve material submittals, inspection requests, test reports, and quality documentation.
* Coordinate inspections with the Consultant/Client and ensure timely closure of inspection comments.
* Monitor concrete works, reinforcement, masonry, waterproofing, finishes, structural and civil works.
* Manage NCRs, observations, corrective actions, and preventive actions.
* Ensure proper inspection and testing of incoming construction materials.
* Review laboratory and third-party test results and ensure compliance with project requirements.
* Maintain quality records, inspection reports, test certificates, and handover dossiers.
* Conduct internal quality audits and monitor subcontractor quality performance.
* Coordinate with Construction, Engineering, Procurement, and HSE teams to resolve quality issues.
* Lead preparation of project handover documentation and final QA/QC dossiers.
* Promote a strong quality culture throughout the project team.

Qualifications & Experience

* Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
* Minimum 10 years of QA/QC experience in construction and 5 years in Oman, preferably with major building, infrastructure, industrial, or EPC projects.
* Previous experience as a QA/QC Manager or Senior QA/QC Engineer is preferred.
* Strong knowledge of international construction standards, specifications, ITPs, method statements, and inspection procedures.
* Experience with concrete, structural works, finishing works, waterproofing, and civil infrastructure.
* Knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems is highly desirable.
* Strong knowledge of NCR, MIR, WIR/IR, material approval, testing, and quality documentation processes.
* Excellent communication, coordination, leadership, and reporting skills.
* Oman/GCC construction experience will be an advantage.

Preferred Certifications

* ISO 9001 Lead Auditor / Internal Auditor
* Relevant QA/QC certifications
* Engineering professional registration where applicable
