Job Description: Business Development Manager – Disposable Goods (HORECA) Industry
Job Summary:
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with clients, and driving revenue growth in the disposable goods sector. This role requires a strong understanding of B2B sales, market dynamics, and product knowledge related to disposable items used in HORECA (Hotel, Restaurant, Catering), retail, healthcare, and industrial sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
• Market Research & Strategy
• Analyze OMAN and regional markets to identify potential clients and industry trends.
• Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company objectives.
• Client Acquisition & Retention
• Generate leads and pursue business opportunities with hotels, restaurants, distributors, hospitals, and supermarkets.
• Build long-term relationships with key accounts and decision-makers.
• Sales & Negotiation
• Present product portfolios, provide quotations, and negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts.
• Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets.
• Product & Industry Knowledge
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product specifications and regulations.
• Identify client needs and provide product recommendations accordingly.
• Follow-Up & Reporting
• Conduct regular follow-ups to ensure client satisfaction and identify upselling opportunities.
• Prepare and submit weekly sales reports and forecasts to management.
• Collaboration
• Coordinate with the operations, logistics, and production teams to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
• Provide feedback for new product development and market positioning.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of business development or sales experience in the disposable goods, FMCG, or packaging industry.
• Strong OMAN market knowledge and existing client network preferred.
• Valid OMAN driving license.
Skills Required:
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking.
• Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently.
• Proficiency in CRM tools, MS Office, and sales tracking software.
